Super Bowl XXXIX

Well, it was a closer Super Bowl than most predicted. I'm glad, a blowout game is boring. The Eagles put up a good fight up until the last five minutes where they just acted like that had the whole time in the world when they had to score two times. Oh well. It was a fun game to watch with some funny commercials. In case you didn't watch the game or hear the score it was 24 - 21 Patriots.

Well, one week of training the newbie to replace me in my old shift and then I get a vacation!!!! It will be nice to have a week off. And guess what I'm doing during my vacation? NOTHING! Well, not really nothing, I am going to get things done that I haven't been able to for the past year. Mainly I will rest though. I really do need this week off.

I'll leave you tonight with the following quote which says all I need to say about needing a vacation

I love mankind,
It's people I hate.

Ahoy!

No, not the cookies.....mmmmmm cookies.....anyways. It's been a little while, I just haven't had much time to update so hopefully I will soon. Why now? you ask, well I just got the shift time that I wanted since I started. Now instead of working 12:30pm to 9pm I will be working 9:30am until 6pm. It's almost bankers hours. I will actually live a real life. I work days, I have most Saturdays off, I have all Sundays off. Yea! Now when I get out of work, everything will not be closed. I also get a week vacation PAID right before my new time starts. Now, I will also be able to take a night class if I want, so I can move towards a career, not just a job.

Also today I got a free 1.3 Mega Pixel camera so there might be more pictures here for you to cringe at. Also I might be going to Hawaii so you will get to see some of those pic's as well.

Well, this Sunday is the SuperBowl so I will comment on the on Monday or Sunday night. See you then

The Day After

To all of you that voted, I would like to say thank you, no matter who you voted for. I recieved an e-mail from John Kerry to supporters and I am posting it the way that I got it.

Dear Supporter,

Earlier today I spoke to President Bush, and offered him and Laura our congratulations on their victory. We had a good conversation, and we talked about the danger of division in our country and the need, the desperate need, for unity for finding the common ground, coming together. Today, I hope that we can begin the healing.

In America, it is vital that every vote counts, and that every vote be counted. But the outcome should be decided by voters, not a protracted legal process. I would not give up this fight if there was a chance that we would prevail. But it is now clear that even when all the provisional ballots are counted, which they will be, there won't be enough outstanding votes for our campaign to be able to win Ohio. And therefore, we cannot win this election.

It was a privilege and a gift to spend two years traveling this country, coming to know so many of you. I wish I could just wrap you in my arms and embrace each and every one of you individually all across this nation. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

To all of you, my volunteers and online supporters, all across this country who gave so much of themselves, thank you. Thanks to William Field, a six-year-old who collected $680, a quarter and a dollar at a time selling bracelets during the summer to help change America. Thanks to Michael Benson from Florida who I spied in a rope line holding a container of money. It turned out he raided his piggy bank and wanted to contribute. And thanks to Alana Wexler, who at 11 years old and started Kids for Kerry.

I thank all of you, who took time to travel, time off from work, and their own vacation time to work in states far and wide. You braved the hot days of summer and the cold days of the fall and the winter to knock on doors because you were determined to open the doors of opportunity to all Americans. You worked your hearts out, and I say, don't lose faith. What you did made a difference, and building on itself, we will go on to make a difference another day. I promise you, that time will come -- the election will come when your work and your ballots will change the world, and it's worth fighting for.

I'm proud of what we stood for in this campaign, and of what we accomplished. When we began, no one thought it was possible to even make this a close race, but we stood for real change, change that would make a real difference in the life of our nation, the lives of our families, and we defined that choice to America. I'll never forget the wonderful people who came to our rallies, who stood in our rope lines, who put their hopes in our hands, who invested in each and every one of us. I saw in them the truth that America is not only great, but it is good.

So here -- with a grateful heart, I leave this campaign with a prayer that has even greater meaning to me now that I've come to know our vast country so much better and that prayer is very simple: God bless America.

Thank you,
John Kerry

BoSox

Well, the Boston Red Sox beat the curse. I say they were due and deserved it. They have worked very hard the past few years to get here. Now Babe Ruth can rest in peace because he doesn't have to watch over the Red Sox to stop them from winning the World Series.

I would like to thank Bamboo_2 again for the corrections to the last post, let's hope she doesn't find any more.

Well, I have to get going to work.

How 'Bout Them Yankees!

Ok, so this post was supposed to be on Thursday. I tried to do it on my break. I typed it all out and when I went to post it a server went down for a few seconds. I don't know if it was a server at work or one with Blogger but the post didn't take and I didn't have time to re-type everything out. Well, here is as close as I can get to what I posted the other day.

The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 10 - 3 on Wed. night. It was a good series. Both teams played to the top of their game. In the end the Red Sox came back from a 3 - 0 series lead for a MLB record. It was such a great thing. Finally the good guys win. Now it is the Red Sox versus the Cardinals. I was happy when the Cardinals got in as well. I didn't want the Astros to win because of my severe hatred to Roger Clemens. I hope the Red Sox win though to end the little curse they have been under for so long.

The Buffalo Bills lost yet again today. They played a better team first off, but at the same time they made too many mistakes. Its not due to coaching, they have been making good choices. It's not all on Drew Bledsoe, he's doing as much as he can. It's just too many, mostly stupid, mistakes. Let's hope next week will be better.

That's all for now, I start working 10 hour days this week. I could really use the overtime hours.

George W. Bush resume

Hello, I received the following e-mail from a friend and I thought it worth posting. First I don't know who the author is. If you are the author and would like me to remove this post from the Blog please either e-mail me at the address to the right or post a comment to this posting. Second, I am not responsible for the accuracy of any of the statements in this particular post. This does give you something to think about though. Enjoy.

Job application from George W Bush

This individual seeks an executive position. He will be available next January, and is willing to relocate. For details, click on ‘Full story’.

GEORGE W. BUSH

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

Washington, DC 20520

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Law Enforcement:

Ø I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under
the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver’s
license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been “lost” and is not available.

Military:

Ø I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to
take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the
Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

College:

Ø I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a cheerleader.

Past Work Experience:

Ø I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career in the oil
business in Midland, Texas, in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn’t
find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my
stock. I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that
took land using taxpayer money. With the help of my father and our friends
in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS:

- I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies,
making Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my tenure, Houston
replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America.

- I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of
billions in borrowed money.

- I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American history.

- With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my
father’s appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing
by over 500,000 votes.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

- I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.

- I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week.

- I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

- I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.

- I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period.

- I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

- I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of
the U.S. stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans
lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.

- I’m proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any
administration in U.S. history. My “poorest millionaire,” Condoleeza Rice,
has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

- I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President.

- I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations.

- My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron.

- My political party used Enron private jets and corporate
attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision.

- I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against
investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating
the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the
biggest corporate rip-offs in history. I presided over the biggest energy
crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

- I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

- I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

- I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any President in U.S. history.

- I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government.

- I’ve broken more international treaties than any President in U.S. history.

- I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United
Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

- I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

- I refused to allow inspector’s access to U.S. “prisoners of war”
detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.

- I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations
election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).

- I set the record for fewest numbers of press conferences of any
President since the advent of television.

- I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any
one-year period. After taking off the entire month of August, I presided
over the worst security failure in U.S. history.

- I garnered the most sympathy ever for the U.S. after the World
Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated
country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.

- I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to
simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering
the record for protests against any person in the history of mankind.

- I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did
so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens,
and the world community.

- I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a
cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families in wartime.

- In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for
attacking Iraq and then blamed the lies on our British friends.

- I am the first President in history to have a majority of
Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.

- I am supporting development of a nuclear “Tactical Bunker Buster,” a WMD.

- I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES:

-All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my
father’s library, sealed and unavailable for public view.

- All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my
bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

- All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my
Vice-President, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in
secrecy and unavailable for public review.
